Tara National Park offers you multiple opportunities for your active holiday.
The most attractive view is 50 meters from our hotel – it is a small house on the Drina river (Кућица на Дрини). The route of the famous Drina Regatta passes next to the house. This festival takes part in the third week of July and lasts 5 days.
If you want to share impressive photos with your friends you have to visit amazing Tara viewpoints. Most of them are reachable by car, so you can go there with children, but some viewpoints are for the experienced hikers only.
The most popular viewpoints are Osluša and Banjska stena, where visitors enjoy a beautiful panorama of the Drina river.
You can spend a day on a cruise from Perućac to Višegrad and back to Perućac. You will see Drina canyon which is one of the deepest in the world, visit Andrićgrad and the old bridge built by Mehmed Pasha Sokolović in 1571.
Take the opportunity to go for a romantic ride on the Shargan eigh (Šarganska osmica). This railroad is definitely one of the most wonderful attractions in Serbia. Funny old train will take you to Mokra Gora and Drvengrad, the village that was built for the movie Life is a Miracle by Emir Kusturica.
Less than 10 km from the hotel there is the Rača monastery – the place where Serbian rulers, nobles, and church dignitaries were buried. The monastery was built in the 13th century, partially ruined several times but reconstructed again and again.
The ruins of Solotnik temple and its fortress are a wonderful place for your photos. The temple was built in the Middle Ages (13th or 14th century) in order to secure a safe road from Užice to Višegrad.
Zaovine Lake is artificially formed on the river Beli rzav as a reservoir for the Bajina Bašta II reversible hydroelectrical power plant. In hot days it is an ideal place for swimming, fishing and just relaxing.
